Mhayette's Café: Hello Kitty Inspired Restaurant

When the Hello Kitty inspired restaurant in Digos was endorsed to me by a friend, I knew immediately I had a duty to investigate and see it for myself. FYI, I'm not a fan of Hello Kitty🙂 Digos, like many other cities, is already full of restaurants that makes you visit and taste their local cuisine. But if you’re a fan of Hello Kitty, or are just always on the hunt for new foodstagrams for your IG feed, Mhayetts Hello Kitty Cafe may just be your next playground.

Fact
Hello Kitty is a fictional character produced by the Japanese company Sanrio, created by Yuko Shimizu and currently designed by Yuko Yamaguchi. She is depicted as a female anthropomorphic white Japanese Bobtail cat with a red bow and notably no mouth.

The restaurant offers different choices ranging from P35 for a drink to P210 for short order food. Half of which are Hello Kitty-inspired dishes.

The cuteness starts outside the resto. Hello Kitty signs and pictures in red and gold, two lucky colors in Chinese tradition, embellish in the front.

Hello Kitty designs and decors continue on the inside in the best possible way.

As per Mhayette (owner), she came up with building the Hello Kitty restaurant because she is managing a lady dormitory near the resto. And the place is very accessible to general highway and schools.

The resto is open daily for lunch and dinner from 10:30AM to 12:00MN. Anyone with a large party should consider booking the VIP room where you can sing with friends to sawa, which again features Hello Kitty items and etc. Videoke room for 5 to 8 people will cost you P100 per hour10 to 15 people will cost you around P150 per hour.

The Hello Kitty Cafe is every foodstagrammer’s delight. Indeed, the main reason for going may be for the photogenic everything. What’s good about this cafe, is that you walk in expecting a lot of adorable food photos.
