Yellow Blooms in Tupi
They stand tall and shine over. Loaded with many wonders and significance. Vast with faith, loyalty and adoration when you see its extremely vividly yellow blooms. The most well-known trait is probably its heliotropism. These special flowers have been blooming and are situated at Purok 3A, Tupi, South Cotabato since June. A Mariano Corporation ingenuity to produce a multifunctional park.
It has been opened to the public last June to July 2017. Reopened for the second season just this September 2, 2017 and will end up to the middle week of October. The park is operating from Monday to Sunday at 8AM to 6PM. Gate entrance fees on weekdays for children is worth ₱30 and ₱50 for adults. Entrance fees for weekends or during holidays is worth ₱50 for children and ₱70 for adults.
There are several things that you can see and do aside from sunflower garden. You can also stroll around the property and enjoy picking and paying for your own vegetables which you can take home as pasalubong to your family and loved ones. You can also visit their aviary, worth ₱50 and enjoy the vibrantly colored birds called the Sun Conures. These friendly parrots are among the most popular pet bird species. You may further enjoy watching different types of scintillating flowers located in distinct areas.
And if you feel famished, no need to go far because the park offers meals ranging from ₱65 and above. A steal from their barbecue meal to juicy beef burger with farm picked veggies and garlic chicken with rice and fresh veggie salad on the side. Yummy!

Sunflower is the only flower with flower in its name. “Helianthus” is the scientific name of Sunflower, Helia for Sun and Anthus for Flower. It actually follows the sun, with heads faces east in the morning, and slowly track the sun across the sky. After dark, the heads reorient themselves to face the east for morning. This trait is more pronounced in domesticated sunflowers, incidentally.
How To Get Here
1.) From General Santos, ride a bus from Bulaong Terminal to Tupi Transport Terminal. Fare ranges from ₱47 to ₱60. It will only take you less than an hour including the bus stops.
2.) From Cotabato, Isulan, Tacurong, Koronadal City, ride a bus or van from respective city terminals. Fare depends on your point of origin but not more than ₱300.
3.) From Tupi terminal, ride a tricycle to Blooming Petals. Tricycle ride will cost you ₱20 and you’ll reach the place in more or less 10 - 15 minutes.
4.) Private vehicles can easily identify the place. From the national highway, take a turn to where you will see the “Blooming Petals” signage. You can also see the "Sea Oil" gasoline station across the road and might need it as a landmark.
Things To Remember
1.) You need to bring your own hats and umbrellas to beat the heat and the rain. Weather condition in Tupi experiences rain every afternoon especially this month.
2.) Best time to visit the place is early in the morning.
3.) Wearing slippers and comfortable shoes is also a must.
4.) Due to the heavy rainfall, some of the sunflowers are no longer in perfect condition.
5.) Opening of the park depends on the growing process of its Sunflowers.
