Zamboanga: Asia's Latin City

Publicity especially from mainstream medias are very influential. Sometimes encumbrance might have been the result for others. In an instance, Zamboanga has been one of the cities suffered from years of unfavorable advertising.

On the other hand, I'd like to inform everyone especially the people from the norththat Zamboanga has many things to offer. It is cultural destination and Asia's Latin city that blends Western, Spanish and indigenous influences in their architecture and people.

Their dear government with the efforts of the tourism sector did the blaze light into this very sparkling city.

Zamboanga City is the 6th most populated city in the Philippines. It is located at the tip of the Zamboanga Peninsula and is one of the major cities in Mindanao. It was also the homelands of the ancestors of the Yakan, the Balanguingui, and other closely related Sama-Bajau people.

Chavacano is the unique native dialect of the city, a mixture of Spanish and various other local dialects and international languages, and is one of the oldest spoken language in the country reflecting a rich linguistic history of its people.

Aside from its unique culture, this city has been influenced by Spaniards explorers. Some edifice and tourist spots are crafted and built during Spanish era.

Zamboanga City is called the Sardines Capital of the Philippines, because 9 out of 12 sardines companies in the country are operating in the city.

During our visit, we manage to stay at City Inn Hotel near Ateneo De Zamboanga. The place is clean, spacious and with wifi
